Painter

Laura studied an Art foundation at Chelsea and BA at Winchester School of Art.

Laura grew up in Roehampton and now lives and works in South Oxfordshire. Laura is an emerging artist and has had work shown in London and Jersey.

“I predominantly paint in oil on board and canvas. My work straddles a line between abstraction and representation. I repeat motifs and symbols in my painting language that can become figurative. I am interested in a memory of colour. My pallet is vibrant and changing and I try to evoke a reaction in the viewer using colour combinations that are vivid. Colour is always what sparks the painting process. I try to give the viewer space to bring their own interpretation to the work and the controlling force of my process is always about the paint.”
