Ring Making Workshop with Anonoma Jewellery

  • Ayres House Studios Wallingford, England, OX10 0JZ United Kingdom (map)

In this 2.5 hour hands-on workshop you will learn all the skills required to design and create your own bespoke ring using ancient wax carving techniques!
This workshop is a perfect opportunity to free your mind, get creative and connect with other like-minded people whilst making a special heirloom. You can use this time to make the perfect present for a loved one or make a special ring to celebrate yourself.

No need to come with a design in mind, the creative process will allow some time to brainstorm with inspiring materials to help you come up with your very own and unique piece of jewellery.

All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. The techniques in wax carving and what you can create in wax are endless! I will tailor a portion of the workshop to each individual's design, but will also cover all the different methods and techniques used in wax carving for lost wax casting.
By the end of the class, your ring in wax will be completed and ready for casting if you choose. There will be some exciting optional upgrades available in-class, including gemstone setting, gold plating or engraving to make your ring even more special (available for pre-purchase or to add on the day).

The price includes materials to make a ring up to 5mm width. If you'd like to upgrade to a thicker ring, you will simply be charged for the additional weight in silver (calculated in class based on the final weight) plus a £5 casting upgrade fee.

If you would like to upgrade to solid gold you may do this on the day. We will weigh the wax model to determine the cost of gold.

Add-ons available for this class:
2mm cubic zirconia stone & setting (£25) Engraving - name or short phrase (£30)
18ct gold plating (£45)
