Drawing at Tregardock, 2018 (1).JPG

Tim Steward

Painter

Tim's artistic approach has been built on drawing outside in specific locations for an extended period of time. This process of working

began in earnest in 2007 with his focus on the Radcliffe Camera in Oxford. Over a period of a year, he undertook hundreds of exploratory drawings of this single building, observing, analysing and rendering the subject. Since these early days Tim has undertaken drawing projects in London, Rome and Bath, and most recently focusing on a specific stretch of the North Cornwall coastline. Each project has had it’s own particular exploration of place and intrinsic appeal.
