Annabel Elizabeth Smith
Painter
βThe purpose of my paintings is to incorporate emotion, by choosing popular settings often found by oneself. Whether wandering amongst the trees, or observing the temperamental seascape, it encourages the viewer to become a storyteller. Mainly working in Oil and Acrylic paint, I tend to experiment with texture; the harsh more stubborn rough paint explains the ever-present solidarity of nature. The blended more soft strokes represent movement, the erratic side to nature. I enjoy the fluidity of colour amongst the blended paint, personally it captures the world in a more tangible way.β
