Elly Kellard
Elly came from a creative family background she was surrounded by people who drew and painted or designed. She was taught to observe more than anything else. Her passion was designing interiors and how we respond to them, so she followed that route for her career and then had her family. She moved to Cornwall for the last eight years, allowing her to find the headspace to settle into painting. She responded to her surroundings by painting the sea and rocks and beaches.
Moving to Oxfordshire she has returned the focus on her love of landscapes and still life paintings. Her recent floristry work has informed this too. She paints with love for colour and texture, seeing pattern and symmetry in unexpected places. Elly’s work is light, crowded and joyful.
