Josie immerses herself in the landscape, from man made cultivated botanic gardens to wild stormy beaches and the rolling hills where she lives. Her paintings are intuitive, emotional responses to the natural environment, inspired by the vastness and wonder of the natural world. Josie’s works are saturated with colour, vitality and energy, reflecting her response to light, atmosphere and topography.

 Josie graduated with a degree in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts in 2012. Her studio is now based in Cholsey, South Oxfordshire. Recent shows include Myth at The North Wall, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize and the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition. She has also been featured in Art Seen Magazine, 2022.
