Elements

Lucy Tyler & Adam O’Brien work under the moniker ‘Elements’. Lucy is an artist, scholar of performance development, and movement practitioner (yoga & somatics). Adam is an artist and scholar of the relationship between film aesthetics and the material environment.

Lucy and Adam have a shared interest in eco-critical concerns, such as location and materiality. Lucy’s artistic work explores ecosomatic possibilities, whereas Adam practises in audiovisual forms that explore environment.

Lucy & Adam’s interdisciplinary dialogue moves between video essay, audio-visual installation, sound, text, photography, live art & performance, social practices, community classes and workshops.

Through ELEMENTS CREATIVE LIVING, Elements creates opportunities for artists and communities to experience ecosomatic and aesthetic/environmental investigation through yoga and somatics. Current offerings include Yoga for Artists, Restorative Yoga for Creativity (Ayres House), Somatics (Grace and Gravity, Wallingford), and Sacred Breath (Heal, Oxford).
