Lin Kerr

Lin Kerr’s dappled-light oil paintings have a tension between timelessness and the passing of time with an increased sense of physicality in the added mending or stitching in the Japanese style of Sashiko. She is exploring the idea of mending in ‘The Mending Project’ using collaged figures and oils. Every now and then she does landscapes or a watercolour of floral abundance.

Lin is South African, with a BA hons. in fine art and teaching. Living in the UK since 1998, she has worked as a graphic designer, returning full time to oil painting in 2016.

She is a member of Oxford Art Society and has exhibited at OAS, Kingfisher Gallery, Rona Painting Gallery and Fillingdon Fine Art. She had a watercolour accepted at the Mall Galleries and an oil painting shortlisted by NEAC.
